4th Year NA Research Report Requirements and Due Dates

The research paper (including the rough AND final drafts) and artistic project are due Friday, November 17th.

Sources must be approved prior to October 9: Each student must bring in their book(s) of their tribe, a Civil War or civilization for approval from teacher.

The rough draft should be handwritten, and the final draft of the report can be typed or handwritten in cursive and in pen. If you choose to type your report, please double space between the lines and use Times Roman or Arial font. Make sure to include a title page: Name of Tribe, student's name, final due date, student's class teachers, and a hand drawn image that portrays a fundamental need of tribe.

4th Rough Draft/Final Draft  Paragraph Due Dates:

         October 9th-NA book or evidence of  library reservation

4th: October 23rd- Spirituality and 1st Choice Paragraphs

      October 30th- 2nd and 3rd Choice Paragraphs

      November 6th-Introduction and Conclusion Paragraphs

      November 17th- Rough and Final Drafts due

                                     Artistic portion due

Fourth Year Students:  6 Paragraphs

The introductory paragraph, paragraph 2 (spirituality), and the concluding paragraph are required.  The student may choose three other paragraphs to research (see NA format).  A bibliography page is required.

Artistic Portion

4th years: 3-D tribal shelter that can be constructed as a singular construction, diorama, or a tribal homeland scene (landscape is relevant to the Native American's region). Students are always welcome to bring in additional NA projects to enhance their shelters. If these projects can tied into the fundamental need of art, philosophy or religion then it will acceptable to stand in for the handmade piece of art.
